Uppark House - National Trust & Midhurst - Tue 17th July 2018
- Duration: 1 Days
- Product code: PE061D
In the morning we head to the delightful market town of Midhurst for time to relax and have lunch before heading to Uppark House. Uppark is an impressive late 17th Century National Trust house offering magnificent panoramic views from its setting, high on the South Downs of West Sussex. The house contains 18th Century collections of French furniture, paintings, ceramics and textiles. Perhaps the most impressive piece is the famous dolls' house which gives a detailed look of life at that time. The garden is picturesque, primarily foliage, with flowering shrubs, bulbs, perennials and herbaceous plants. When you need a rest, head for the Orangery Café for tea and a bite to eat.
