The ancient Royal town of Caernarfon is a superb holiday destination. Situated on the Menai Straits in North West Wales, Caernarfon has a fascinating history dating back to Roman Times. At the very heart of the town is the 13th century castle built by Edward I, Wales’s most famous castle and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is a delight to explore with a stylish marina area, river walks around the mighty castle and a large central square surrounded by shops, cafes and restaurants. You feel the history as you explore the narrow streets lined by stone, slate roofed buildings and know you’ll want to return.

After being collected from your local pick up point around 7.00/8.00am we have refreshment stops as required before arriving in Caernarfon late afternoon.

A free day today for you to relax and enjoy Caernarfon. The hotel is just a short stroll to the heart of the town, so grab a town map and explore the compact centre - a visit to the castle today is surely a must. Enjoy some lunch in one of the many cafés, restaurants or pubs.

Today we are joined by our local guide for a tour in to the Snowdonia National Park. Don’t forget your camera as this area is simply stunning - some of the best scenery in Britain. With various stops during the day including Betws-y-Coed, this will be a day to remember.
